The Colour Monster

THE COLOUR MONSTER

Today, I want to share with you my favourite story. It's THE COLOUR MONSTER, from Anna Llenas. It's a book which deals with the Emotional Intelligence, what I consider of paramount importance for our kids.

It's important that children learn how to recognise, express and control their own emotions but it's also necessary that they learn and know how others feel and why.

Kids love this book, not only Kindergarten students but also Primary Education ones. I work on it in different ways depending on the age of my students. I'll tell you some of the activities we do at school.

Kindergarten

- Tell the story using the pop-up book.

-Watch the story in youtube, in this link:

- Say when they feel happy, sad, angry, scary, in love or relaxed.

- Ask each other how are you?
